Repatriation
Transport back to your home country — either medically escorted travel home after stabilization (medical repatriation) or return of remains after a death abroad. Listed separately from evacuation in most policy wordings.
Evacuation gets you to the nearest adequate hospital; repatriation gets you home. After a serious incident in southern Africa you may be stabilized in Johannesburg, then need a stretcher-equipped commercial flight or air ambulance home — a second five-figure journey that falls under a separate benefit with its own limit.
Check that repatriation is included alongside evacuation and that its limit is realistic for an intercontinental medical flight — $100,000+ if you're traveling from North America or Europe.
