1. We're an independent guide, not an insurer or broker
Safari Travel Insurance doesn't sell, underwrite, issue or administer insurance policies. We research and publish coverage guides for safari travel — by destination, by activity, and in comparisons of insurance partners — and link out to partners where you can buy a policy directly.
2. How we make money
Some links on this site, including the "View partner" buttons on destination, activity and partner pages, are affiliate links. If you click one and purchase a policy, the partner may pay us a commission. This costs you nothing extra — the price you pay is the same whether you arrive through our link or directly.
Outbound partner links on this site always route through /go/[partner], which we use only to measure which guides are useful and to apply our affiliate tracking code — never to change where you end up beyond that.
3. What commission does and doesn't affect
Commission arrangements do not determine which partners we cover, how we describe them, or any rating we publish. Where we show an editorial rating, it reflects our own research into coverage — evacuation limits, bush-flight and activity exclusions, gear cover — not how much a partner pays us.
We don't currently have affiliate relationships with every partner mentioned on this site, and having one is never a requirement for a partner to be featured.
4. About our partner reviews
Reviews published on this site are written by our editorial team, based on publicly available policy documents and our own research — they are not submitted by customers. We label them accordingly wherever they appear.
