Trip Interruption
Pays for the unused portion of your trip and extra transport home when you must cut a trip short for a covered reason — the mid-trip counterpart to trip cancellation.
If a family emergency or an injury ends your safari on day four of ten, trip interruption reimburses the six unused days and the cost of getting home early. On fly-in itineraries the 'getting home' part is bigger than it sounds: leaving a remote camp off-schedule usually means paying for an extra charter leg.
Check whether the benefit is capped at 100% or 150% of the trip cost — the higher figure exists precisely because last-minute one-way travel out of remote areas is expensive.
