Safari itineraries chain a long-haul flight to a light-aircraft schedule that may run once per day. Arrive in Maun three hours late and the day's last camp flight is gone — along with, potentially, a prepaid night at a camp you can't reach.
Check two things in the wording: that missed connection covers unscheduled charters as onward travel (some restrict the benefit to scheduled flights on both ends), and that the benefit amount could genuinely re-book a charter seat, which can run $300–$600 per leg.
